Philosophy

When it comes to cooking, I don’t believe in spending hours of my day to prepare a meal. I like short, 30-minute recipes with a few ingredients and I’m not opposed to using ready-made mixes alongside things I make from scratch. Another aspect of my current cooking is that I only have to feed my husband and myself, we’re a young, newly married couple and I’m looking for alternatives to going out to dinner every night. I tend to enjoy mostly Asian cuisine, especially Japanese food, but I’ll get cravings for Italian and Filipino food as well.

This blog is a record of not only my own recipes but also a critique of recipes that I’ve found and tested myself. The idea is to be able to use this site as a reference and develop weekly menus that I can use regularly. Too much of the weekly menus that are available online require that you pay a subscription fee or they’re boring and generic corporate sites that promote their food products as ingredients. Feel free to prove me wrong.
